FAQ

What is a Tennis / Padel ball pressurizer?

A tennis and padel ball pressurizer is a more advanced, reusable version of the containers in which new balls are purchased. It preserves and restores the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls by storing them under pressure. The pressure within the container increases the pressure inside the balls. In essence, it operates in the opposite manner to what occurs when the balls are exposed to 'normal' pressure.

How do I use Pressurebox?

Pressurebox is easy to use. Here is how:

1. Remove the bottom lid and insert your balls after play.

2. Close the lid firmly to ensure that it is sealed airtight. However, since individual strenght varies, make sure not to close the box harder, than what will make you able to open it again.

3. Press the main switch and leave it in the on-mode until the next time you play. Pressurebox will automatically build up and maintain the correct pressure.

4. Before opening Pressurebox again, shut off the main switch, press the deflate button on the lid. Open the lid, take out your pressurized balls, and enjoy!

How long can I use the same balls with Pressurebox?

While the longevity of tennis & padel ball pressure depends on various factors such as playing style and ball quality, it's useful to provide a comparison. Without a Pressurebox, approximately 20% of the ball's pressure is typically lost after just an hour of play, with further gradual decreases over time.

In contrast, when using high-quality tennis/padelballs with Pressurebox, the pressure in your balls will be comparable to new balls, even after several sessions & matches.

It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and the balls may show some wear and tear after prolonged use, such as the logo becoming less visible. However, in most cases, the playing experience remains satisfactory even after extended use. For padel, the impact on ball felt is even less, leading to an even longer playing time."

What is the difference between Pressurebox and other similiar products?

  1. No manual pumping is required for the container each time.
  2. More importantly, the automatic sensor ensures consistent pressure in the container and allows the Pressurebox to add more air when the box's air pressure decreases, maintaining constant pressure. Why is this important? First, all pressure containers experience some leakage. Second, when placing used balls inside, they naturally reduce the air pressure within the container through diffusion. Due to both factors, new air must be pumped in to ensure that the container's air pressure always remains higher than that inside the balls. Without this, which is often the case with less advanced products, it simply doesn't work as effectively.

Is Pressurebox a one time investment?

Yes, Pressurebox is a reusable pressure can that is designed to last for years.

How long does it take to get the pressure back in tennis / padel balls?

The most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players with high playing standards, is to buy new balls as usual, then put them in the box each time after play, which will allow you to play with much longer and increase ball quality, from the second hour of play and onwards. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as one or a few days.

However, you can also use Pressurebox to inflate leftover balls and completely avoid buying new ones. In this user case, it will usually take some days before the pressure is back in the balls, and the results will depend on the condition of the balls. It is recommended to use balls with some pressure from the beginning - which usually is the case even for leftover balls that typically can be found anywear in tennis & padel clubs - since the inflation process with these balls will be faster and more reliable.

Can I completely stop buying new balls with Pressurebox?

Yes, it is possible. However, the most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players, is to buy new balls as usual & put them in the box each time after play.

This will make it possible to play with the balls many times longer, increase the average ball quality, and reduce the cost & waste from using new balls. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as the next day or shortly thereafter.

However, you can also use Pressurebox to inflate leftover balls and completely avoid buying new ones, which is even better for the wallet and for the environment. In this user case, it will usually take some days before the pressure in the balls is back and the results will depend on the condition of the balls used. Not all balls can be inflated again. For the quickest & best results, it is better to use balls that has some pressure left in them - which usually is the case even for most leftover balls that can be found anywear in tennis clubs.

What is the Pressure in Padel Balls?

Padel balls typically have an internal pressure of around 12 PSI. Our padel ball saver has a higher pressure to compensate for pressure loss during play, ensuring you can keep smashing those winners

What is the Pressure in Tennis Balls?

Tennis balls typically have an internal pressure of around 14 PSI, but our tennis ball pressurizer has a higher pressure to compensate for pressure loss during play.

Potential Problems & Solutions

Problem: The compressor restarts often.

Answer: If the compressor restarts frequently, the lid may not be sealed airtight, causing the compressor to compensate for the pressure loss by restarting often. Ensure that you close the lid firmly. If the issue persists, check that the threads of the lid are clean and that no dirt is stuck. If the problem persists, please let us know, and we will help you out.

Problem: Battery time is too short

Answer: The shorter battery life is likely due to an improper seal of the lid, as mentioned in the previous answer. This can cause the compressor to restart frequently, consuming more battery power. Make sure to close the lid firmly.

Problem: The balls gets too hard.

Answer:
Since the pressure inside Pressurebox is higher than the internal pressure in tennis & padel balls, the balls can sometimes get too hard if they are in the box for long. However, this is an easy problem to solve. Just open the box some time before you play, and the balls will get softer, as long as they are not stored under pressure.

Problem: The balls are too soft.

Answer:
If the balls used are too soft & old initially, it may take some time to restore the pressure. It is advisable to use balls with some pressure from the start and utilize the Pressurebox frequently in between each session to maintain optimal pressure.

Problem: It is hard to open the lid

Answer:
If you are having trouble opening the lid, there are a few tricks that you can try.

1. First, make sure that you have deflated the box. If you still can't open it, try using a glove, towel, or ask someone strong to help you.
2. If it still does not work, try to gently knock with a spoon around the lid, and then try to open.
3. Remove the silcone cover for better grip. Just push it up, and it can be removed. For the next time, check the inside of the lid for dirt and close the box softer.
4. If you still cant open the box, let us know, and we will help you out.

Problem: The closing line is wrong.

The closing line serves as instruction of how to close the box in the best possible way. However, a few of our first batch products has the closing line wrong, indicating a too soft or too hard closing. In this case, disregard the closing line, and get to know the product well enough to close the box in a firm way so that it keeps airtight, but not with force, since this could make it hard to open again. The only sign to close it harder is if the compressor turns on frequently.
